Assuming you are in the US so getting parts isn't a pain in the ass for you, get a striker spring from Sprinco for $9 (part #35829) and your problems will be solved. The factory Canik striker spring is incredibly and unnecessarily stiff, making the closing force of the slide very weak.

Former Canik owner here. I had a really bad experience with the TP9 Elite SC. That thing malfunctioned constantly. It also was heavy for how small it was and had a pretty high bore axis. I have a TP9SF. And the TP9SFX. And a Tri-star C-100. Made by Canik. Im very satisfied with them. Never had a problem with them. Great triggers on them. The best in a striker fired i ever tried. The C-100 is hammer fired. Yes i would carry one. The elite is on my bucket list.
